- Pre-Press layouts
- Layouts of brochures, advertisements (yellow pages, newspaper, magazine etc) flyers,
packaging, using your own artwork, and sent to your publisher/printer.
- Personalized stationery
- Your own stationery, letterheads, comp slips, mail shots, business cards etc. Poster
printing to Super A3 size available.
- Wedding stationery,
funeral and order of service cards, announcements and tickets printed to your
specifications.
- Picture Scanning and editing
- Your photographs scanned and saved to disk, and edited to your
requirements including photo montage effects.
- Pictures taken by digital camera
- These can be added to your webpage or emailed to your friends.
- Internet Access, and basic tutorials on most major
software applications available.
1989-1991
Obtained diplomas from Lancaster Itec College and City and Guilds
NVQ certificates for IT, WP, DTP, Spreadsheets and Databases. All done in DOS, no Windows
in the bad old days. Sadly the ITEC is no more, but my thanks to it will remain here
for posterity. Good luck to you all if you ever read this.
- 1992
- Telecottage established when my Tutor (who shall be nameless as he now works for the
council) told me I was un-employable and should think of opening a telecottage. This
was due to the fact that I asked too many questions and gave him headaches. He
consequently drove home very tired one night, fell asleep and crashed into a lamp post.
He cracked his ribs and smashed his ankle. He made a full recovery and has
almost stopped limping. Although there were other students on this course, I take
most of the responsibility for this and am Very Sorry.
- 1997
- Completed courses at Lancaster & Morecambe College on Teleworking and Telematics, in
order to use the internet more efficiently. Obtained certificates/diplomas NVQ from the
Telecottage Association, City & Guilds and NCFE. Both of the tutors involved
survived this experience physically unharmed. Many thanks to John and Robin, not
forgetting rural area 5b initiative, who may now claim to have done Something Useful At
Last.

- Video Conferencing and Internet facilities made available.
- 2000
- Digital Camera added to equipment available, photos of family parties, births, weddings
and events photographed and submitted to web site or emailed to people of your choice.

- 2001
- Village Website updated and photo albums started
2002 SuperA3 printing facilities available
2003 Digital photography equipment updated to3.4 megapixel
2004 Struggling with dial up, joined forces with University to build a wireless network
2005 Got wireless broadband!
2006 NVQ4 in IT management for SMEs
